初夏の茶会

6月21日、真夏のような陽射しのなか、マンハッタンのミッドタウンにて茶会を開催し、ご来場の皆さまに抹茶と季節の和菓子をお楽しみいただきました

ご参加の方々からは、慌ただしい日常を離れ、静かな空間で心を落ち着ける時間となったという声が寄せられました。また、季節の花や、滝と天の川を詠んだ漢詩の掛物が調和し、穏やかな雰囲気の中で、皆さまが心をひとつにする場となったとの感想もいただきました。

これは、亭主と客が共にその場を創り上げる「一座建立（いちざこんりゅう）」の精神を体現するものです。

風情ある清雅な会場をお貸しくださいました上野支部長、そしてご参加いただいた皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。

Celestial Waterfall – Early Summer Tea Gathering

On June 21st, despite the heat, we hosted a tea gathering in midtown Manhattan, offering matcha and seasonal Japanese sweets to our guests.

Participants shared that the quiet atmosphere allowed them to pause from their busy schedules and be present in the moment. One guest mentioned how the setting — with seasonal flowers and a hanging scroll featuring a Chinese poem about a waterfall and the Milky Way — created a harmonious space, inviting a sense of calm.This reflects the spirit of Ichiza-Konryū, where the host and guests together create a unique, shared experience through the art of tea.

We appreciate Dr. Ueno, Chairman of the Omotesenke Domonkai Eastern Region USA, for graciously allowing us to use such a refined and serene venue, as well as everyone who attended and contributed to this special moment.
