メンバー対象の特別クラスでは、「吹雪茶器の茶掃き」「花入れ」「軸の掛け方」を紹介し、さらに今回は参加者4名全員が男性であったことから、「男点前」でのお稽古を紹介しました。

通常の授業では、まず講師の一人が茶室について写真を用いたプレゼンテーションを行い、畳席では「客の作法」の指導と有志によるお点前稽古を実施しました。ワークショップでは、引き続き「割稽古」を行い、点前の基本所作の習得に努めました。

特に畳席の稽古では、「掬水在月手」の掛け軸の意味をはじめ、芒と赤蜻蛉をあしらった吹雪茶入れや、季節感あふれる御菓子「ウサギ」などを取り入れ、秋の趣を感じながらのお稽古となりました。参加者はお客様として、菓子盆の取り方や次ぎ方、お辞儀の作法などを学び、全員が積極的に学びに関わるよう工夫を凝らしました。

まだ実際の茶室を訪れたことのない学生からは、「ぜひ本物の茶室を見学してみたい」といった感想も寄せられ、茶の湯への関心が一層高まる様子がうかがえました。

In the special class exclusively for members, we introduced "Fubuki Chaki" "flower arrangement," and "how to hang a scroll." As all four participants were men, the class also included an introduction to "otoko-demae" (men's style tea procedure).

In the regular classes, one of the instructors gave a presentation with photos about the chashitsu (tea room). During the tatami-room session, participants learned guest etiquette, and some volunteers performed tea rituals. During the workshop portion, we continued wari-geiko to help students build solid foundational skills.

Particularly in the tatami session, students studied the meaning of the scroll "Kikusui tsuki te ni ari" ("Scooping water, the moon is in one's hands"). They enjoyed an autumn atmosphere expressed through seasonal elements such as the Fubuki decorated with pampas grass and red dragonflies, and sweets shaped like rabbits.

As guests, participants also practiced taking and passing the sweet tray and bowing properly, creating an environment where everyone could actively engage and learn together. Some students who have not yet visited an authentic tea room expressed a desire to do so, saying, "I would love to see a real chashitsu someday."

Their comments reflected a growing interest and deeper appreciation for the spirit of Chanoyu.
