ワシントン州シアトル日本庭園は1960年の開園から60周年を超えた、州内・外にもよく知られた庭園の一つです。日本庭園は、季節ごとに草花と木々が美しく素晴らしい景色となることから、それぞれの季節を楽しみに多くの皆様がご来場されます。この庭園の茶室”松声庵”において、シアトル特別地区は日本庭園運営団体からのご依頼で、新緑の市民茶会を開催いたしました。事前の開催案内はすぐに完売し、お申し込みいただいた30名の皆様に、庭園の美しい新緑の木々の眺めを楽しみながら、薄茶点前のデモンストレーションを桟敷席でご覧いただいきました。そののちに、茶室において、日本からのお菓子と美味しいお抹茶をご用意し、一服のお茶と共に爽やかな新緑のひとときを楽しんでいただきました。
2024 Fresh Verdure Season Public Tea Gatherings at the Seattle Japanese Garden
The Seattle Japanese Garden opened in 1960 to symbolize friendship between the U.S. and Japan. The garden is well known in North America for its natural seasonal beauty.
There are a lot of activities that started in April in the garden. The Seattle Special District conducted public tea gatherings during this fresh green maple season. The tea gatherings were booked solidly for all seatings in advance. Participants watched the demonstration on the terrace and enjoyed sweets from Japan and a bowl of matcha in the tearoom.
