シアトル地区では、「炉開き茶会」を2年振りに開催いたしました。
コロナ禍でこれまで開催することが困難でしたが、今年は、11月20日と2７日２日間、開催いたしました。茶会開催をご案内したところ、社中のご友人、知人の方々からのお申し込みをいただき、全ての席は満席、５０名様ほどのご参加をいただきました。
皆さんからは、炉開き茶会を楽しみにしていました、とのお声をいただき、炉開きの時期に茶室において茶の湯体験をしていただきました。
日本から持ち帰った栗きんとんのお菓子と和三盆でつくった季節にちなんだ干菓子、そして美味しい抹茶で、「茶の湯の正月」のひとときを過ごしていただきました。初めて茶の湯を体験された皆さまがほとんどで、茶の湯文化にふれて心豊かな印象を持っていただけた茶会となりました。
Robiraki Chakai 2022 (Tea Gathering for the Opening the Winter Hearth)
Robiraki-Chakai was hosted by The Seattle Special District for friends and family of Domonkai members. There were 9 seatings, and 49 people came to enjoy the tea gatherings.
Robiraki marks the beginning of a new year for the tea world. So, it is a happy occasion in the tearoom. The participants enjoyed the setting, tea utensils, and seasonal Japanese sweets from Japan.
