UW Chanoyu Club とシアトル特別地区の若者による初釜を開催しました

シアトル特別地区では、ワシントン大学 Chanoyu Club のオフィサーの皆さんと、シアトル特別地区の若者たちによる合同初釜を開催いたしました。

初釜が初めてという参加者も多く、ほとんどの若者にとっては初めて尽くしの新年の茶会となりました。少し緊張した面持ちで始まったひとときも、炭のぬくもり、釜の音、季節の設え、そして一碗の茶を囲むうちに、次第にやわらかな笑顔へと変わっていきました。

若い世代ならではの素直な感性と真摯な姿勢が、お茶室に清々しい空気をもたらし、世代を越えて茶の湯の心を分かち合う、あたたかな初釜となりました。

こうして若い方々とともに新年の一服を囲めることは、茶の湯の未来へつながる何より嬉しいひとときです。

静かで晴れやかな、心あたたまる初釜となりました。

Hatsugama with UW Chanoyu Club and the young members of Seattle Special Distric

We held a joint Hatsugama with the officers of the University of Washington Chanoyu Club and the young members of Seattle Special District.

For many, this was their very first Hatsugama.What began with a touch of nervousness soon softened into smiles, as everyone shared in the warmth of the hearth, the seasonal setting, and a bowl of tea together.

Their sincerity and fresh perspective brought a beautiful energy to the tearoom. To welcome the new year with the next generation in this way was a quiet joy, and a meaningful reminder that the spirit of chanoyu continues forward.
