フィラデルフィア 桜祭り

フィラデルフィアの Fairmount Park にて開催された桜祭りにおいて、立礼席の茶席を設けました。会場である Horticulture Center 内の温室において、野点の趣を取り入れた設えとし、春のやわらぎを感じさせる一席を設けました。

当日は多くの来場者の皆様にお立ち寄りいただき、日本の伝統文化である茶の湯に触れていただく貴重な機会となりました。皆様が熱心に点前を見守り、日本の精神文化に親しんでおられる様子が大変印象的でした。初めて抹茶を体験される方も多く、和やかなひとときをお過ごしいただきました。

Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival

A ryūrei (table-style) tea ceremony was presented at the Cherry Blossom Festival held at Fairmount Park. The tea space was arranged inside the greenhouse of the Horticulture Center, incorporating elements inspired by nodate (outdoor tea gatherings) to create a setting that evoked the gentle atmosphere of spring.

Many visitors stopped by our tea space, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the Japanese cultural tradition of chanoyu. Guests watched the tea preparation with great interest, and it was especially meaningful to see their appreciation for the spirit and aesthetics of Japanese culture. For many, it was their first time tasting matcha, and they enjoyed a warm and memorable moment.
