Boston Practice Session

7月16・17日、昭和ボストンにおいて、在学の学生向け稽古とボストン在住の方向けの一般稽古を実施し、多くの方々にご参加いただきました。

これは、表千家米国東部支部のボストン地域における活動の充実と特別地区設立に向けた取り組みの一環として実施しているもので、今回で3回目となります。

今回も新たなメンバーを迎え、季節のお菓子やお花を楽しみながら、客作法や割稽古、運び点前などの稽古に取り組みました。

開催にあたり、ご支援いただいた昭和ボストンをはじめ、関係者の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。

今後も茶の湯文化の魅力を広く伝え、ボストン地域での活動のさらなる発展に努めてまいります。

On July 16 and 17, we held tea practice sessions at Showa Boston for both its students and members of the local Boston community. We were delighted to welcome many participants.

This event was the third practice session in a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the activities of the Omotesenke Domonkai in the Boston area and working toward the establishment of the Boston Special District.

Following the previous session, we welcomed new members and enjoyed seasonal sweets and flowers while practicing guest etiquette and basic tea ceremony practice (warigeiko and hakobi temae).

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Showa Boston and all those who supported and contributed to these events.

Through these activities, we will continue to share the beauty and spirit of chanoyu (the Japanese Way of Tea) and strive for the further growth and development of our community in the Boston area.
