シアトルのワシントン大学の日本語、古典文学、文学、歴史など日本に関わる学科の教授が中心となって、大学内の重要な歴史建造物である図書館「SUZZALO LIBRARY」において、Spring Mixer という先生と学生たちの交流会が開催されました。このイベントには、大学内の日本関係のクラブ、外部からは、シアトル総領事館など日本にまつわる関係の団体も招待されました。昨年に引き続き、日本語教師からこのイベントにご招待をいただきました。UW茶の湯クラブの部長と講師が活動をプレゼンし、茶の湯文化とクラブの紹介をいたしました。
Spring Mixer at Suzzallo Library at The University of Washington
The University of Washington Chanoyu Club was invited to “The Spring Mixer” event to introduce the Chanoyu Club. Other Japanese-related entities were also invited, from on and off campus. This event was designed to connect the Japanese Language faculty socially with students.
