Penn State大学の中国茶道クラブ、韓国茶道クラブ、そして表千家茶道クラブ合同のイベント”Northeastern Tea Expo"に講師として招かれました。 イベントの企画から開催までもの凄く頑張っていたクラブ会員には盛大な拍手を送りたいと思います。東部支部派遣の講師もプログラムに招待され、茶室でのお点前のデモンストレーション、パワーポイントを使っての茶道の歴史のお話、又参加者全員が自分でお茶を点てる体験コーナーの運営を2日間行いました。講師がクラブ会員数名に着物を着つけ、着物でアシスタントをしてくれました。東部支部派遣の講師達にとってもPenn State大学でのお茶への幅広い興味と大きな熱意にふれる良い機会でした。
We participated in the Northeastern Tea Expo, https://sites.psu.edu/teaexpo/ at Penn State. The Omotesenke Chanoyu Club was one of the organizers of this four-day event. Kudos to our Chanoyu Club students who worked hard to organize and run the event. Eastern Region member instructors provided two sessions of our program, each consisting of a tea demonstration at our practice tearoom and a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a hands-on “make your bowl of tea” session for all attendants. A few of our Chanoyu Club students were dressed in Kimono while assisting us in our program. It was a fun opportunity for us instructors to interact with a larger community of Penn State tea enthusiasts.
