ワシントン大学 日本人学生会が主催の 日本フェスティバル「Matsuri」で、 茶の湯クラブの部員たちがステージにて、初めて茶の湯プレゼンテーションを行いました。 部員たちはこのイベント参画を目標に、お稽古に励んできました。 ステージでは、剣道、柔道、琴の実演のほか、会場には屋台、折り紙、ゲームコーナーなどが特設され、２年振りのイベントに待ちかねた学生が詰めかけ、大盛況のイベントとなりました。
The "Matsuri" Japanese Festival was organized by the University of Washington JSA (Japanese Students Association). University of Washington Chanoyu Club members gave a Chanoyu presentation on stage. Judo, Kendo, Koto, etc. were also performed. The ballroom was filled with street food stands, origami folding table, and games. It was very successful event and proved to be quite popular, especially after 2 years of being postponed.
